New Cover Image Pt 4 finnshing touches



Next I loaded in image super nova.  Called the layer explosion and set the bending mode to screen. Made a layer mask, then and duplicated it 4 times. I moved the layers around to have them positioned in 3 dimensions.

I then made a gradient fill layer going from black to transparent that cover the bottom of the screen this was placed as the top layer. This made the shadows on the player images almost completely black.


A top layer of then then place an images of the night sky using the colour doge blending option to make the star appeared brighter. Using the layer mask technique I removed the stars that covered the “actors” but leaving it on the player’s shadow.
above the background and the nebula layer I made a new layer and made a rectangle filled it with a coloured gradient. I then made 6 more layers and repeated the process using different gradient fills with different colours. These layers were then arranged transformed before being merged in to one layer. Using masking to clean up the images and blending.

Next a curves layer was added to get all of the actors images have the same feel and to get the colours the same. As well as boost the background colours.
